A Workshop for Endometriosis sufferers and Health Care Professionals

                        Endometriosis – the unknown common condition
                                         and some new ideas that can help

About the Workshop:
Endometriosis is a a severe common condition with one in seven Australian women suffering from it. Yet, there is very little information about the medical background, symptoms, comorbidities and treatment options available. In this workshop we will offer an overview about the current state of research and medical treatment as well as promising approaches of pain management through hypnotherapy. Helpful holistic approaches are presented and discussed as well, leaving you with ideas on how to help yourself or your clients deal with the various symptoms of this challenging condition

About the Presenter:
Viviane Ehret studied psychology at the University of Tübingen, Germany. She was trained in systemic therapy and hypnotherapy, where she developed a focus on pain control techniques as well as mind-body healing approaches. Her work as a yoga teacher enabled her further to gain a deeper understanding of psychosomatic connections.

One of her main areas of interest is the development of a hypnotherapeutic treatment manual for endometriosis and the treatment of chronic pain

The workshop will cover the following content:
– The biology and biochemistry of endometriosis
– Exacerbating factors – what makes it worse
– What is the current available treatment and how effective is it?
– Alternative holistic treatments to help return the body to a state of homeostasis or balance

– The role of Hypnosis and self hypnosis. Live demonstration
